Our task is to bring these strengths together, build strong partnerships, and create an enabling environment where green solutions can scale. Today, the question is no longer whether we have the technologies\u2014we do. The real question is how quickly we can join forces and mobilize the financing needed to accelerate the green transition,\u201d said Saken Kalkamanov.<\/p>\n<p>The session brought together representatives of international organizations, financial institutions, government agencies, and the expert community to discuss mechanisms for mobilizing investment in sustainable development and accelerating green industrial transformation across Central Asia.<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, the head of IGTIC highlighted Kazakhstan&#8217;s systematic efforts to build a comprehensive ecosystem for supporting green technologies and climate innovation. He pointed to the successful implementation of the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP), as well as the launch of the first Central Asian Green Acceleration Program during RES 2026 EXPO in Astana, as examples of the country&#8217;s practical achievements.<\/p>\n<p>Participants discussed approaches to combining international climate finance with national resources and private-sector investment, the prospects for establishing a Regional Green Industrial Technologies Hub, mechanisms for reducing investment risks, and opportunities for strengthening public-private partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>Particular attention was given to preparing joint regional initiatives in the lead-up to COP31, expanding cross-border cooperation, and increasing access to international climate finance.<\/p>\n<p>IGTIC&#8217;s participation in the event reaffirmed Kazakhstan&#8217;s position as one of the regional leaders in advancing green technologies, climate innovation, and international cooperation for sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>The session was held as part of the 8th Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and served as an important platform for strengthening partnerships between governments, international organizations, financial institutions, and the private sector to advance a more sustainable future for Central Asia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":12,"featured_media":10803,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[24],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v15.5 -
