He emphasized that achieving carbon neutrality requires the systematic mobilization of both domestic and international capital, as well as the introduction of modern financial instruments.<\/p>\n<p>During the seminar, participants heard presentations from international and Kazakh experts covering key aspects of climate policy and climate finance. <strong>Johan Nylander, UNDP expert on Article 6<\/strong>, outlined the mechanisms for the transfer of mitigation outcomes under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and the opportunities to attract investment in decarbonization through carbon markets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bakhyt Yesekina<\/strong>, Member of the Council for the Transition to a Green Economy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Director of the Green Academy Research and Education Center, highlighted the risks associated with the European Union\u2019s <strong>Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)<\/strong> and the need to align Kazakhstan\u2019s national emissions trading system with international requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Particular attention was paid to the role of the <strong>International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center<\/strong> as a one-stop platform for climate investment. As part of its cooperation with the <strong>Green Climate Fund<\/strong>, the Center presented an initiative to develop a <strong>Unified Country Climate Platform<\/strong>, designed to streamline climate projects and expand access to international financing and technologies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe development of a Unified Country Climate Platform will become an effective tool for cooperation with international financial institutions and investors.
