The event brought together leading representatives of the region\u2019s scientific and startup communities, becoming a showcase of cutting-edge ideas aimed at solving global challenges.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"677\" data-end=\"889\">The competition aims not only to promote young entrepreneurs, but to build an intergovernmental ecosystem for innovative cooperation \u2014 with sustainability, digitalization, and environmental solutions at its core.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"1318\">Opening remarks were delivered by Han Shouxin, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People\u2019s Congress of Qingdao, and representatives of China\u2019s Ministry of Science and Technology. Kairat Baitassov, Advisor to the SCO Secretariat, emphasized that each project presented was \u201cnot just a business idea, but a concrete response to the challenges of the 21st century \u2014 from artificial intelligence to sustainable energy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1320\" data-end=\"1371\">Kazakhstan on the international cleantech stage<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1675\">Kazakhstan\u2019s delegation made a strong impression at the forum. Three startups that completed the GCIP-Kazakhstan acceleration program, implemented at the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (IGTIPC), were named among the finalists and recognized by the competition jury.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1677\" data-end=\"1903\">Third place was awarded to the <em data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1745\">Science and Technology Water Center<\/em> for its development of a &#8220;self-sustaining technology for decarbonization and wastewater treatment&#8221; \u2014 a practical solution in the field of industrial ecology.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1905\" data-end=\"2079\"><em data-start=\"1905\" data-end=\"1929\">Smart Energy Solutions<\/em> received a Special Achievement Award for its innovative AMI Data Analytics platform designed to support digital transformation in energy systems.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2081\" data-end=\"2260\">The project <em data-start=\"2093\" data-end=\"2109\">Kaz-REEcycling<\/em>, which focuses on recovering critical materials from electronic waste, became a finalist, offering a promising approach to circular economy solutions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2262\" data-end=\"2324\">GCIP-Kazakhstan and IGTIPC: Local Impact with Global Reach<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2326\" data-end=\"2725\">Kazakhstan\u2019s participation in this prestigious international competition reflects the maturity and ambition of the country\u2019s cleantech sector. The GCIP-Kazakhstan program, implemented by IGTIPC with support from global partners, continues to fulfill its core mission \u2014 to support, scale, and commercialize solutions that drive economic growth, ecological resilience, and technological modernization.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2727\" data-end=\"3121\">According to Mr. Saken Kalkamanov, Acting Chairman of the Board of IGTIPC, \u201cKazakhstan reaffirms its important role in shaping a unified scientific and innovation space within the SCO region.
