The foundations have been laid for the creation of a «Green University»

Within the framework of the «Green Universities» program implemented by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an important meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the NJSC «International Green Technologies & Investment Projects Center» (hereinafter – IGTIC) Saule Kozyke and the rector of NJSC «S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University», Doctor of Economics, Professor Kanat Tireuov, with the participation of the Department of International Cooperation and Marketing of the IGTIC.

As part of the «Green Universities» program implemented by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an important meeting was held between Saule Kozyke, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the NJSC «International Green Technologies & Investment Projects Center» (hereinafter – IGTIC), as well as representatives of the NJSC «S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University». The meeting was moderated by the rector of the University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Tireuov Kanat Maratuly.

 

The main topic of the negotiations was the initiative of «Green Universities». During the meeting, the foundations were laid for the creation and development of «Green Universities» in Kazakhstan, the directions of introducing environmentally sustainable approaches into educational programs and research, as well as opportunities for joint research projects and initiatives were discussed.

The meeting was an important step in strengthening cooperation between IGTIC and KATRU. All participants of the meeting expressed confidence that joint work will open new horizons for innovative projects and will contribute to the development of solutions aimed at preserving the environment and developing a green economy, as well as contribute to the promotion of environmentally sustainable education in the republic.
