Green technologies
View Register of “green” technologies and projects
Green technologies are environmentally friendly production technologies created on the basis of modern scientific achievements, taking into account environmental, economic, social aspects of sustainable development, which cover the following areas and are aimed at:
1) production of non–toxic products in a closed cycle “production – recycling – new production”;
2) maximum reduction of waste due to innovations in technology and consumption structure;
3) replacement of non-renewable natural resources with alternative renewable sources of raw materials and energy;
4) introduction of biotechnologies into agriculture, animal husbandry and processing of agricultural products, production of biological preparations for agriculture;
5) energy production from renewable energy sources (solar energy, wind energy, hydro, geothermal energy, biomass, hydrogen), reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere, improving fuel efficiency, as well as energy efficiency of buildings and household appliances;
6) the removal of sustainable green spaces with a high positive effect of greenhouse gases from the environment, aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change;
7) production of building materials that do not contain toxic and carcinogenic substances, using production and consumption waste;
green projects are projects defined on the basis of an approved classification (taxonomy) and aimed at improving the efficiency of using existing natural resources, reducing the negative impact on the environment, improving energy efficiency, energy conservation, mitigating the effects of climate change and adapting to climate change;
