IGTIPC Participates in Panel Discussion on the Future of Kazakhstan’s Environment

On June 5, 2025, a panel discussion titled “Kazakhstan’s Environmental Future: Challenges, Partnerships, and Solutions” was held at the Presidential Center of the Administrative Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as part of the national environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan” and in honor of World Environment Day.

The event served as an open platform to discuss concrete steps for implementing President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s “Taza Kazakhstan” initiative, aimed at improving environmental conditions and fostering a culture of ecological responsibility in society.

The discussion brought together around 60 participants, including representatives of government agencies, members of Parliament, scientists, NGOs, faculty and students, and industry experts.

Representing the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (IGTIPC), Deputy Chair of the Management Board, Saule Kozykeeva, emphasized the importance of a systemic and collaborative approach to sustainable development:

“Environmental challenges cannot be tackled in isolation. Today it is clear that real, lasting change is only possible through joint efforts from government, business, science, and civil society. IGTIPC sees its mission as building bridges between all these stakeholders — by promoting green technologies, developing environmental awareness, and implementing practical solutions at the local level,” Kozykeeva said.

Other speakers included Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament Ajar Sagandykova, Acting Director of the Department of Environmental Policy at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Natalia Dauletiyarova, expert of the Public Chamber under the Mazhilis Aizhan Skakova, and Associate Professor of the Ecology and Environmental Management Department of the Kazakhstan branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Vladimir Dekhnich.

The participants discussed issues such as waste management, environmental education, infrastructure modernization, and the promotion of green technologies. As a result of the event, recommendations will be developed for government agencies on coordinated actions in the field of environmental protection.
