Since September 1, Turkey has been hosting Cleantech Days 2025, an international forum that brought together leaders of sustainable innovation, startups in clean technologies, and key players in the “green” transformation from 16 countries around the world.
A special point of pride was the success of the Kazakhstani projects presented in the finals of the GCIP Cleantech Days Pitch Competition. Three teams accelerated by IGTIC entered the top 8 finalists, demonstrating a high level of technological solutions and maturity of business models:
Murat Beton Technology — next-generation low-carbon concrete
Kaz REEcycling — recycling of electronic waste with extraction of rare earth elements
FACEPLATE — a digital platform for sustainable construction and production management
Murat Beton Technology took first place — an innovative solution aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions in the construction sector, which is one of the key areas for decarbonizing the economy.
In addition, Kaz-REEcycling received Special Recognition from UNIDO for its significant potential in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction.
The participation of Kazakhstani startups became possible thanks to the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP Kazakhstan), implemented by IGTIC with the support of UNIDO and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
The competition final and recognition by the international jury are a testament to the fact that Kazakhstan is actively developing a cleantech entrepreneurship ecosystem and entering the global stage with competitive environmental innovations.
