Shanghai, September 2025 – At the Shanghai Forum on Green and Low-Carbon Innovation, Qazaq Electric signed three Letters of Intent with leading Chinese partners: Eraergy Technology Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group, and Ohho Group.
The agreements followed a visit to China by Qazaq Electric representative Kairat Karymsakov, who presented Kazakhstan’s investment and technological potential in the field of sustainable energy and green technologies. Particular emphasis was placed on the company’s project to establish a nationwide network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
The Letters of Intent outline cooperation in the following areas:
- attracting Chinese investment in sustainable energy projects;
- expanding Kazakhstan’s EV charging infrastructure;
- production and supply of specialized equipment;
- establishing a consortium to implement green technologies and form a commercially viable joint venture.
Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in pursuing joint projects that will accelerate Kazakhstan’s transition to a low-carbon economy and sustainable transport solutions.
The International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center (IGTIC) facilitated the visit and supported the negotiations, acting as a platform for advancing environmental solutions and strengthening international cooperation in the field of green transformation.
The Qazaq Electric initiative was among the highlights of the forum, underscoring the strong interest of Chinese companies in partnering with Kazakhstan on environmental and technological initiatives.
