Astana, December 19, 2025 – Employees of IGTIC took part in an online training seminar titled “Fundamentals of BAT and ESG Approaches” for representatives of regional administrations (akimats) and industrial enterprises. The event is aimed at implementing the recommendations made following the Government Hour on the implementation of Kazakhstan’s Environmental Code, particularly in stimulating the attraction of green investments and expanding the use of Best Available Techniques (BAT) in the industrial sector.

The main objective of the seminar was to raise participants’ awareness of the mechanisms for implementing BAT, the use of sectoral reference documents, compliance with permissible environmental impact levels, as well as the role of ESG approaches in enhancing the environmental responsibility of businesses.

During the event, participants reviewed key principles of the Environmental Code, practical tools for industrial modernization, requirements of environmental standards, and modern approaches to assessing enterprise sustainability.

It is expected that the seminar will enhance the competencies of specialists from akimats and industrial enterprises in the practical application of the Environmental Code. In turn, this will strengthen enterprises’ interest in attracting green investments and adopting ESG approaches, contributing to reduced environmental impact and improved compliance with ecological standards.
