More Than 20,000 Participants Expected at RES 2026 EXPO

From April 22 to 24, 2026, Astana will host the Regional Environmental Summit 2026 (RES 2026) – a key international platform for developing coordinated solutions to climate and environmental challenges facing Central Asia. The Summit will bring together countries of the region to establish a sustained dialogue on climate transition, adaptation to environmental and natural risks, food security, sustainable natural resource management, air pollution control, waste management, and the development of environmental and digital competencies. Special attention will be given to issues such as the restoration of the Aral Sea ecosystem, the declining water level of the Caspian Sea, the development of green finance, and the deployment of low-carbon technologies.

The Summit will be attended by representatives of government bodies of Central Asian countries, international organizations, development institutions, the scientific community, business, and civil society. Approximately 1,500 official delegates are expected to take part.

As part of the Summit, the RES 2026 EXPO – an international exhibition of green technologies and sustainable solutions – will be held. The event is organized by the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (IGTIC) together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The exhibition is expected to attract over 20,000 visitors, with more than 300 exhibiting companies from over 30 countries worldwide.

RES 2026 EXPO is being developed as a space for applied solutions, where sustainable development is presented not as an abstract concept, but as a set of concrete projects, partnerships, and investment mechanisms. The exhibition will bring together business, government institutions, and society on a single platform, creating conditions for a transition from strategic discussions to practical implementation.

“The hosting of RES 2026 EXPO reflects Kazakhstan’s strategic course toward environmental transformation, sustainable development, and active international cooperation. The international exhibition will become a unique platform for showcasing innovative green technologies and sharing practical experience. For both business and the public sector, this is an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, attract investment, and lay the foundation for an environmentally responsible economy in the region,” – said Yerlan Nysanbayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In turn, Saken Kalkamanov, Chairman of the Management Board of the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (IGTIC), emphasized the strong international interest in the exhibition:

“The exhibition will serve as the Summit’s practical platform for dialogue and joint action, where political agreements are transformed into concrete business solutions aimed at sustainable development and the implementation of green technologies in the region. Within RES 2026 EXPO, projects designed to attract investment and facilitate technology transfer to priority sectors of the economy will also be presented. Participation has already been confirmed by official delegations and companies from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, China, as well as European countries including Spain, France, Switzerland, and Germany.

The total area of exhibition and presentation zones will exceed 20,000 square meters, with the main exhibition hall covering 12,000 square meters. The RES 2026 EXPO exhibition hall is being positioned as a key international platform for attracting investment, developing partnerships, and strengthening interstate dialogue in the field of the green economy.”

For the public sector, RES 2026 EXPO will provide an opportunity to establish an open and substantive dialogue with business, present environmental and economic policy priorities, and identify partners for the implementation of national and regional programs. For businesses, it offers direct access to regulators, investors, and international markets, as well as the opportunity to showcase technologies and solutions aligned with ESG and sustainable development requirements. For society, the exhibition will ensure transparency of processes and a clearer understanding of how the environmental agenda is shaped and the role each stakeholder plays in it.

Registration for exhibition stands and participation formats for companies and organizations is now open.
