More than 35 thematic events (side events) will take place at the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan during the 31st UN Climate Change Conference (COP31), which will be held from November 9 to 20, 2026, in Antalya, Turkey.

The Kazakhstan Pavilion will serve as an international platform to present the country’s climate initiatives, promote green technologies, attract investment, and advance international cooperation. The main focus will be on transitioning from climate commitments to concrete economic solutions and practical projects.

As part of the program, the International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center (IGTIC) will present a number of key initiatives aimed at strengthening Kazakhstan’s position as a regional hub for climate investment and green technologies.

These include:

  • QCIP – Kazakhstan Climate Investment Platform. Presentation of a unified country platform for climate investment, developed jointly with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
  • International Carbon Market (Article 6 of the Paris Agreement). Promotion of mechanisms for international carbon transactions and the development of supporting infrastructure with the participation of Verra, Evident, and Zhasyl Damu JSC.
  • Climate Transparency (ETF). Implementation of a climate reporting system, preparation of Biennial Transparency Reports (BTR), and the launch of the CBIT project in partnership with the UNFCCC Secretariat and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The program of the Kazakhstan Pavilion will bring together representatives of government agencies, international organizations, financial institutions, business, and the expert community. Participants will discuss perspectives on climate finance, industrial decarbonization, carbon market development, and the implementation of innovative environmental solutions.

Participation in COP31 will allow Kazakhstan to showcase its achievements and new projects on the global stage, expand cooperation with foreign partners, and demonstrate the country’s investment potential in the green economy sector.
