IGTIPC Discusses Prospects for Cooperation with International Consulting Firm Intec-GCPA

On April 15, 2025, a meeting was held at the office of the International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center (IGTIPC) with representatives of the international consulting company Intec-GCPA International Energy Consultants. The Intec-GCPA delegation was led by Marco Caponigro, Head of the Sustainable Energy Department.

Representing IGTIPC at the meeting were Acting Chairman of the Management Board Saken Kalkamanov, Head of the Bureau for Best Available Techniques (BAT) Bauyrzhan Abenov, and Director of the Project Management Department Ruslan Bekturganov.

The meeting focused on potential formats of cooperation in the implementation and adaptation of best available techniques (BAT), the development of sustainable energy solutions, and the facilitation of international knowledge and technology transfer to Kazakhstan.

Particular attention was given to Intec-GCPA’s ongoing projects in Tajikistan, potential collaboration with the Green Climate Fund, opportunities for mobilizing private investment in sustainable development, and the application of BAT reference documents and IGTIPC’s technical expertise in other Central Asian countries.

Intec-GCPA representatives shared their experience in advising governments on energy transitions, implementing climate strategies, and working with international institutions on sustainable development agendas. IGTIPC presented its current priorities, including the development of the Registry of Green Technologies, implementation of the GCIP Kazakhstan startup acceleration program, and advancement of projects within the Green Bridge Partnership Programme and the transition to a carbon-neutral economy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed interest in establishing a long-term partnership and agreed to continue exploring specific initiatives, including expert events, data exchange, and pilot project implementation.
