We are pleased to announce the startups selected to participate in the GCIP-Kazakhstan Acceleration Program – a flagship initiative in the field of clean technologies, implemented in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center (IGTIC). This program is part of the global effort to drive the ecological transformation of the economy and is being implemented under the agreement signed with UNIDO on November 2, 2022.
Following a competitive selection process conducted by an expert jury, the most promising projects have been chosen to advance within the Acceleration Program.
Participants of the program will gain:
- Access to an international network of mentors and personalized support;
- Business model development, scaling strategies, and investment readiness preparation;
- The opportunity to present their projects on international platforms and enter global markets.
The mission of GCIP-Kazakhstan is to foster innovation, create green jobs, and develop a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem in Kazakhstan.
As a reminder, applications for the third cycle of the program opened in March and closed in May 2025. The competition attracted talented innovators committed to making Kazakhstan cleaner, safer, and more technologically advanced.
The program will kick off with the National Academy, taking place from 28 to 31 July in Astana – a key milestone in preparing participants for the acceleration journey.
The National Academy serves as an intensive onboarding and training module for the selected startups. A particular focus is placed on the engagement of international experts from the Network for Global Innovation (NGIN) – a US-based global network of accelerators, investors, and specialists dedicated to supporting clean technology startups.
NGIN experts will deliver lectures and workshops on business model refinement, market expansion strategies, sustainability practices, and investment preparedness. The Academy will serve as a launchpad, equipping startups with a solid foundation for the next stages of acceleration and commercialization of their solutions.
