Ministry of Ecology Expands Environmental Monitoring Infrastructure in Kazakhstan

Astana – The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Nysanbayev, held a working meeting with representatives of the Chinese company Lihero, a leading provider of environmental monitoring solutions.

The meeting was organized by the International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center (IGTIC), whose delegation had earlier visited Lihero’s manufacturing plant in China, which produces advanced environmental monitoring equipment. The parties agreed to strengthen their partnership with a focus on introducing state-of-the-art monitoring technologies in Kazakhstan.

Lihero, with 28 years of experience, is the developer of China’s national environmental monitoring system. During the talks, the company expressed interest in adapting its solutions to Kazakhstan’s specific regional needs.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to draft a roadmap for establishing a multi-tier environmental monitoring system. The plan will outline steps for introducing modern digital tools, training specialists, and building a nationwide monitoring infrastructure.

Minister Nysanbayev emphasized the importance of high-precision monitoring of air, water, and soil, as well as the urgent need to digitize environmental oversight processes. He noted that potential cooperation with Lihero opens new opportunities for environmental security and sustainable development, while strengthening Kazakhstan’s technological capacity and international partnerships in the field of green solutions.
