This year NJSC IGTIC develops BAT reference books for enterprises of category I

This year NJSC IGTIC develops BAT reference books for enterprises of category I. It includes enterprises impact on the environment in a negative way. Particularly, the Center began to develop a reference book on BAT “Oil and Gas Refining”. In this regard, it is decided to from a technical working group, which includes representatives of manufacture, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, environmental associations, scientific and design organizations etc.

 TWG develops, approves and updates reference books on the best available techniques.

The purpose of the first TWG meeting was to familiarize all members of the TWG on the development of "Oil and Gas Refining" reference book. Center representatives presented a strategy to ensure the transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the principles of BAT, expected work scope on the development of the reference book, including the involvement of qualified experts.

At the second meeting, updated list of the Technical Working Group on the development of the handbook was presented. In order to improve the efficiency of the TWGs, additional entities of the oil refining industry and government agencies were also involved.

In accordance with the meeting agenda, a preliminary structure of the handbook was presented for discussion of TWG. Based on the meetings results, the structure of the BAT reference book "Oil and Gas Refining" was approved by the Protocol.
