A meeting with GGGI General Director Mr. Frank Rijsberman took place at the IGTIPC site.
On February 13, 2023, the Chairman of the International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center (hereinafter - IGTIPC) met with a delegation of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), headed by Mr. Frank Rijsberman.
IGTIPC management provided information on IGTIPC activities to support Kazakhstan's transition to a green economy and talked about ongoing projects:
- "Global Program for the Promotion of Innovations in the Field of Clean Technologies and Entrepreneurship in SMEs to create Green jobs in Kazakhstan" (GCIP - Kazakhstan), funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), with the assistance of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO);
- the GCF Readiness and Preparatory Support programme: "Further strengthening the Kazakhstan’s programming capacity, institutional support for the enhancement of GCF direct access and development of green finance system"(Readiness 2), funded by the Green Climate Fund.
The parties also discussed the possibilities of cooperation to promote green financing and the implementation of green projects in Kazakhstan, including in the field of adaptation to climate change.
